Park Place Beliefs
When looking for a church home, it is understandable that prospective members and attendees will ask the question, “What do you believe?” But, at Park Place the answer is not as clear as a listing of tenets and doctrines. In the Disciple of Christ Denomination, of which Park Place belongs, the answer to that question will vary greatly between members. Upon joining our church the only question asked of you will be, “Do you believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God, and do you accept him as your personal Lord and Savior?” How you interpret accepting Christ as Savior and following him is up to you.
Granted, there are a few traditions we have that make us a group of likeminded Christians:
We have communion every Sunday, and all who believe are welcome to the table.
We believe in baptism by immersion, but are accepting if you came to us from another tradition. You may be re-baptized if that is something you would like to do.
Proclaiming the Good News of Christ to all people both in and outside of the church building.
Extending grace to all people like Christ, just as Christ extended his grace to you.
This may lead to spirited discussion in Sunday School, Youth Group and fellowship groups, but the diversity within the body of Christ is what makes Park Place have a place for you. If you would like to join us, feel free to attend a worship service, follow us on social media, or contact the church office.
